"I think it's a sin to sit down and let your life go, without making a try for it."

I said things would be better today, but I had no idea that they were going to be this much better. The highlights of my day include:
1. Getting up and getting that lovely Wal-Mart quality card from my parents, written completely in Spanish.
2. Getting to school and eating cookie cake with Sarah Sheppard in the library that we cut with a spoon.
3. Getting out of class to see my car decorated by Graduation Buddy!
4. Austin yelling happy birthday to me across the parking lot at the top of his lungs.
5. Somebody's gonna kill me for saying this, but not having play practice and actually going home for a change.
6. Seeing my grandparents, and my grandpa singing happy birthday to me, and actually almost hugging me back today, and kinda trying to start a conversation.  It was so cute.  I've missed them.
7. Eating at Chili's and talking and that waitress trying to start singing happy birthday with  a completely awkward beat,
8. Going home to see my aunt and uncle and Katherine waiting to see me, and sitting and eating more cake with them while talking for several hours.
9. Figuring out how to work this MP3 player, and all the other amazing presents I got (not excluding the real diamond earrings that my grandma handed down to me and the $200 check they gave me.  I don't even know how to begin to use $200.  I'll put it my savings.)
10. Finally getting to Spring Break.
I couldn't have asked for a better birthday.  Seriously... if the way this new age started today is any indication of how the rest of my time at age 18 is going to be, then this is gonna be one amazing year.  I never would have expected my friends to be so amazing as they were today.  I love you guys so much and it means so much to have such great friends.
